Giving time... Habitat for Humanity :)

So I decided to volunteer for Habitat for Humanity. I have always heard about them, but didnt really know much, So our work does some of the volunteering for them and i got a email about it and decided it would be an awesome experience to help out. :)

Here is a little info about what they do:

Habitat for Humanity International is founded on the conviction that every man, woman and child should have a decent, safe and affordable place to live. Through volunteer labor and donations of money and materials, Habitat and its homeowner families have built or rehabilitated more than 400,000 houses. A nonprofit, nondenominational Christian housing ministry, Habitat invites people of all backgrounds, races and religions to build together in partnership.

So i turn in all my paper work for it, and i am so excited to be able to do this! Our shift was 9am - 3pm, I was wondering what they will have there for us to do, and hoping that i would have the opportunity to learn something new, So there were 5 of us today and we got to do siding for the house. When he told us... i was clueless... ha ha... what is siding?? ha ha... as you can see i don't know very much about building houses... ha ha... but heck ya! something I've never done before, i was excited...

So siding was kinda tough... lol... I never knew how much work it would be... but it was quite a bit! lol So the job i got to do was cutting the siding material... at first i was so confused at was the guy was trying to tell us to do... (construction lingo... flew right over my head) lol... but we caught on and did a pretty good job! :) I enjoyed giving my time and glad to be there helping then at work at my desk! ha ha...

Exciting News...

So Will gets a phone call and its his boss... all i can hear is Will saying " Are you serious?? Dont lie... are you for real?? " And then he walks outside... and me being so nosey... I am anxious to see what the news was... He comes back inside and says, I got the job at the Murray store as a manager!! I could just tell in his eyes and in his tone of voice that he was so happy!! :) Yay, i am so happy for my husband and his hard work that he does to support his family, he has definately deserved it! I am so proud of him! He is the youngest and the first Polynesian as a manager. Welcome to a new ERA! lol... All i can say is that we are so blessed, and to thank the man above! <3

Common Kings Concert

So last minute i decided that I was going to go to the concert, although i was totally dreading it because of the drive, Provo really?? lol, but Common Kings was definately worth the drive!! I'm so glad that i made it! I ended up going down with Lieta, Vee, Val and Donovan and we met the rest of their family down there too, and it was a blast!! I had so much fun and it was a sober night!! haha... Even if we were totally the BIGGEST Common Kings GROUPIES that whole night!! hahaha... too funny!!

Its funny cause the only time i've been down there is only to the schools and back, but going thru their cities, i felt like i was out of state! haha... But all the artists that performed that night were on point!! Tati is such a beautiful girl and she is going to be even more amazing in the years to come!! Her voice is awesome!! :) and Si'i Vakalahi, wow... love his voice!! :)

Our Short Trip To California April 2011

So this was a last minute kind of trip, Will's mom called him and asked him if he can come and help her with some church stuff that was coming up and of course he wanted to go. He's asked me if it was okay that he went to Cali and at the time i was kind of hesitant, not wanting him to go out of state. I finally just told him it was okay to go, he then asked me if he can take our son with him too...and ugh... that is a no, especially if i wasn't going to be there!! i mean...i cant live without my son!! haha...ya...ya...we're kinda attatched...haha Then the idea came up..."why dont we all just go?" and hey why not? lol I was already getting sick of this bi-polar Utah weather. So we planned on all of us going, we were so excited to finally get out of Utah for the first time as a family! :) (I know cheesy, right? ) lol

So we flew on buddy passes, Will and baby left that thursday...and i left the earliest flight out on friday morning :) And i got to tell you that was the longest night of my life haha It was the first time that I haven't had them with me...ever! haha So i was so nervous flying by myself, so nervous! haha I swear i looked hella lost trying to check in, thats what happens when you dont travel a lot! It was funny! So the flight was good, other than i sat by a stinky guy that reeked of booze!! ugh...gave me a headache!! So i land in sunny San Jose, California...sun was blazing... it was beautiful!!! So i called Will and told him to that i have landed (which he should of been already at the airport by now) so i went and got my bag and walked outside to the pick-up...waited a few minutes...called Will again...and he said "I'm here, where are you?" by then i was getting a little irritated because he should have already been waiting there for me. lol I still was waiting and i called him..."where are you?" he then says..."which San Jose Airport are you at? Im thinking, "Are there really two different airports?" You have got to be kidding me?? haha and of course he was at the WRONG one!!! GRRR... haha Man oh man i wanted to kick him in the face when he finally got to pick me up!! bahahaha but i didnt!! haha it was the most quiet ride EVVEERRRR!!!! Will had to break the silence, asking "Are you really not going to talk to me?" haha Although i was so eager to talk to him because i was so happy to be in Cali, feeling like a tourist! haha i couldnt help but laugh!! Also he didnt even bring my Kisi baby! all i wanted to see was him...so excited to see my son!! haha

Now we were on our way to Seaside, Ca which took FOREVVERR haha i swear it was an hour and a half drive!! OMG!! haha So we make it to the Apartment, i was so excited to see baby!! its been a whole day since i've seen him! haha i know...i know... so attatched!! haha Well it was pretty chill over there! loved the sun! :) We hung out with the family... Kisi and I got to meet some of Will's family they are all amazing, and such nice people! Wish we could of stayed longer to spend more time with everyone, i know my husband misses it so much out there! Oh ya...and the first thing i wanted when i got there was Jack In The Box :) yeah buddy... and then we enjoyed our food over at the Wharf, loved seeing the ocean <3

Had to have Jack, and dont forget the buttermilk ranch! yum!!

We had stopped by the park Dennis the Menace ( I think thats what its called) lol I heard about this park from Will and them. The kids had fun playing around!

During our time there we went to the beach (hmm..i forgot which one we went to lol) We went with Me, Will, Kisi, Peti, Dante and Nahla...decided to take the kids out of the house, before we all went crazy! haha So Will told me that the water is cold out there..and no joke it was...well at least where we went! lol... people were wearing those whole body suits in the water! crazy! i love the ocean, it brings such a calming feeling!

Alright so I was so excited to go here! :) Anyone that knows me I am an animal person and all kinds :) lol... This was so fun! There are so many pictures that we took over here ( so I'll only post a few) The kids had so much fun!! Glad we had a chance to hang out with Peti and the kids before we left back to Utah.
