"Birth" day for our twin boys

This day finally was here. January 23, 2014 our scheduled Cesarean delivery @ 11am. We arrived at the hospital at 7am ( I think) lol swear it was super early. We got all checked in, I changed into my beautiful hospital gown 😜 and of course had to take a morning delivery picture haha

The waiting game was on, we were so anxious for them to be here. It was about 5 years since my last cesarean and "baby" , I was starting to get real nervous, shoot it was a while since I've had a tiny baby, let alone 2 tiny babies to raise in this world. The surgery I was scared about too. But glad to have my husband there every step of the way.

I've always wanted to be able to give birth vaginally to my kids, but my pelvic bone is too narrow (TMI sorry haha) 😛 for them, so cesarean it is. I was able to be in the delivery room for my older sister when she had one of her kids and let me tell you, it was the most amazing thing ever!! I'd do it over and over to any of my sisters to be able to experience it. We all literally cried when her son was born. If you have never experienced being in one of your sisters delivery room when they have their baby, I suggest you do. It's an experience I can't put into words. Thanks Carol for letting me be a part of that day! 💓

We had a few hours to lay around, watch T.V. and filling out paperwork.

So around 10:30 am the nurses came in told us to get ready to have our twins. I vaguely remember walking to the operating room, holding all my wires and the back of my gown that way I wasn't flashing the doctors and nurses haha 😨 I remember having to sit on the edge of the bed hunched over hugging Will, ready to receive my spinal block. I can still remember how nervous and anxious I was. I was shaking and crying holding on to Will. Will was being an amazing husband trying to calm me down as they poked the HUGE needle in my back. I could feel the fluid go in and popping as they gave me the medication. Next thing you know I was laying down on the table getting numb by the second. I can hear all the nurses, my doctor and her assisting doctor talking. So the funny thing is  I actually have my doctor as a friend on my FB and she told me that she saw my post from our last appointment saying how I suckered her into delivering me early (oops haha) *hint don't have your doctor on your FB* Glad she has a sense of humor otherwise it would of been very awkward.

I was getting all hooked up to all the machines in the operating room. This is so embarrassing but they had to put some type of "string" under and around my belly to hold it up so they could get an incision. 😱 I can only remember some tugging and pressure during the whole time during the C-section. I actually have a video of them taking each baby out. After Baby A was out I was getting kind of nervous because it took a minute for Baby B to be delivered. But all was good and they both entered this world screaming their little lungs out! lol Seeing each of them over the blue sheet was crazy, I felt like they would be smaller (being twins) but they looked like normal sized babies, I was in shock! lol They seemed like they were same size as when Makisi was born, although its been a while since he was a newborn.

Then they were finally here, both of them. Matthew Ioasa at 5.15 lbs & 18 inches long and Finau Volo at 6.3 lbs & 17 inches long. I was in such awe seeing them, hearing them cry (I was in for some crazy sleepless nights I already knew) but nothing like that mattered, all that mattered was that they were here and healthy. Seemed so fast that I was all stitched up, holding my twin boys in each arm being wheeled back into our labor/delivery room. When the door opened I was so relieved to see my mom, Will's mom, and Tuna were there too just waiting for us. Then the visitors started flooding in, from family members to close friends. We were so happy to see so much love and support from all our visitors during the whole time we were there.

Our most excited visitor was their older brother Makisi 💗

We stayed at the IHC Riverton and was released on January 26, 2014, both boys doing great! We were so ready to go home and be in our own house and beds.

First couple weeks at home, was a little rough. I had to sleep upstairs in the living room because walking up and down those stairs were tough for me and my C-section incision and going up and down that many times a day and at night, would suck! I had so much at home help from my family. Honestly right now, the first year of the twins is all blurred together and I can't remember much on how I did it. lol but we all survived!

At this point my husband and I decided that it would be a good time for me to stop working and stay home with the kids. So thankful for hard working and amazing husband to be able to stay home with our kids. So this is my life from then to now...couldn't of asked for anything better! I love being a mommy!!

This is my little "condensed" version of the twins birth, hope you all enjoyed it!

Big brother Kisi feeding Finau, such a good helper!

 They are my world ❤❤❤

SURPRISE!!! Here comes 2 babies...

Yup, you read correct, Twins!!!

We found out about 8 weeks along that we were expecting fraternal twins, crazy huh?! lol... we knew that there was a higher chance of multiples, but didn't think it would happen to us. I still remember like it was yesterday at the ultrasound appointment, Will and I were just so happy that we were pregnant, when the sonographer said " Oh, there's 2 of them!" Will and I just looked at each other and asked, "Are you sure? lol" We were so shocked, excited and a little nervous but definitely happy to let our family and friends know. Everyone was so shocked and excited, I don't know how many times people said how lucky we were to have been blessed with twins, although in my head I was thinking how crazy people are for thinking that, lol I mean don't get me wrong we've been waiting a while for this and we were happy either way, didn't matter how many we were blessed with! I was just overwhelmed with thinking, "How are we going to do this? 2 babies?" But either way we were going to get ready for the 2 blessings that were growing inside me.

So I would like to start by saying, being prego with twins was such an amazing experience! It's amazing what our bodies can do. If you were friends on FB or IG  you pretty much followed me through the whole thing haha (posted kinda crazy during those several months lol). They grew so fast inside my bulging belly...lol a little too fast for my body to get used to it, but we survived ❤😊

I've only been pregnant one other time besides the twins, and Makisi was pretty easy going besides the ending (I'll most likely blog his pregnancy too, why not? lol ) but that is another blog post. I'll apologize now, I'm gonna be all over the place until I catch up lol... now back to the twins, in the beginning I had nausea which sucked, I even had to take some pills to calm it down .

It was such a crazy experience being pregnant with twins, I'm so glad to have been blessed to experience having twins! Now its been almost 3 years since I've had them so I'm just doing this by memory 😉 (good luck haha) I also experienced a lot of cramping and stretching which hurt! Having a hot pack really helped.

Here are a few Twin belly pics 💕

September 3, 2013

Baby A is a boy, and Baby B was being difficult and not wanting us to now the sex. This appointment the cord was between its legs. Babies were doing great, strong heartbeats!

September 9, 2013
Few days later... found out Baby B was another boy!! And I was one outnumbered mama.

We had so many ultrasound pictures, enough for a little book lol Such a cool thing to be able to see them in the womb so many times.

At this time I was still working at Wells Fargo, my coworkers threw me a baby shower. They are such amazing people!! We were definitely spoiled with so many gifts and a beautify yummy cake!

When you're pregnant with twins, I didn't realize until I was having twins that you don't carry them the full 40 weeks. Makes complete sense because each week when we got closer to their due date they were getting so big and heavy. 😰 I'll insert a few belly pics for proof of how big they were getting lol

 28 weeks

32 weeks

36 weeks

This belly band was literally the best thing ever!!! I needed so much support since I am so short there wasn't much room for the twin to grow but out...and out they grew haha... Helped a lot with my pressure in my pelvic area.

I'm trying to make this as short and sweet as I can, haha... but trying to hit all of the specific areas I wanted to cover.

I had my fair share of non stress tests too, nothing like sitting in a small room for hours hooked up to not 1 but 2 machines not being able to move very much. Only positive this was being able to hear the twins heartbeats the whole time! 💗

January 20, 2014
This picture (above) was my last appointment with our doctor. Went in for our routine non stress test and ended up talking my doctor into moving it up to that Thursday January 23, 2014. Whoo hoo for me!! lol I was super uncomfortable and ready to meet these handsome boys!

Let's Catch You Guys Up...

Hmmm... Where do I start, last I blogged was 2011, yikes...haha so much has changed since then.

These next few blogs will be about my pregnancy with the twins....and oh how it was a tough journey but definitely worth it!!

Let's fast forward to the year 2013, Since we've had Makisi in '09, we were trying to get pregnant again for 2 years after he was born, and had no luck conceiving. We were kind of bummed out because we really wanted to have another baby. So in 2013 we talked with our doctors to see if there is anything that we could do (that wouldn't cost an arm and a leg) because I mean if it was meant to be it would happen, but we wanted a little bit of a head start.

Our doctor told us about a pill called Clomid, what this pill does is make you ovulate more each month so that there is more of a chance to get pregnant, although it does make having multiples a bigger chance. All we really wanted was 1 but it would be a blessing if there were more *inserts nervous face here lol

Our Journey on the fertility medicine

So what we did was get both of us checked. Then all was good, doctor prescribed the pills, what I did was take 1 pill for 5 days, the first month didn't take, So our doctor upped the dosage the next month, and SURPRISE!!!

June 11, 2013 the day we found out we were pregnant, I was only 5 weeks along and was super happy and excited, we all were! Makisi was so excited to be an older brother!!

WE'RE PREGNANT!!! FINALLY!!

It's Been a long time...getting back to it...

Well it's been a few years since I last blogged. Trying to get back into it, I have a lot to catch up on... ready set go!

Giving time... Habitat for Humanity :)

So I decided to volunteer for Habitat for Humanity. I have always heard about them, but didnt really know much, So our work does some of the volunteering for them and i got a email about it and decided it would be an awesome experience to help out. :)
Here is a little info about what they do:

Habitat for Humanity International is founded on the conviction that every man, woman and child should have a decent, safe and affordable place to live. Through volunteer labor and donations of money and materials, Habitat and its homeowner families have built or rehabilitated more than 400,000 houses. A nonprofit, nondenominational Christian housing ministry, Habitat invites people of all backgrounds, races and religions to build together in partnership.
So i turn in all my paper work for it, and i am so excited to be able to do this! Our shift was 9am - 3pm, I was wondering what they will have there for us to do, and hoping that i would have the opportunity to learn something new, So there were 5 of us today and we got to do siding for the house. When he told us... i was clueless... ha ha... what is siding?? ha ha... as you can see i don't know very much about building houses... ha ha... but heck ya! something I've never done before, i was excited...
So siding was kinda tough... lol... I never knew how much work it would be... but it was quite a bit! lol So the job i got to do was cutting the siding material... at first i was so confused at was the guy was trying to tell us to do... (construction lingo... flew right over my head) lol... but we caught on and did a pretty good job! :) I enjoyed giving my time and glad to be there helping then at work at my desk! ha ha...
Took a few pics while we were there ( didn't take very many because i wasn't sure if i was gonna get in trouble) ha ha...

Yup, a little battle scar... haha... siding is pretty sharp after cutting it! haha...

Exciting News...

So Will gets a phone call and its his boss... all i can hear is Will saying " Are you serious?? Dont lie... are you for real?? " And then he walks outside... and me being so nosey... I am anxious to see what the news was... He comes back inside and says, I got the job at the Murray store as a manager!! I could just tell in his eyes and in his tone of voice that he was so happy!! :) Yay, i am so happy for my husband and his hard work that he does to support his family, he has definately deserved it! I am so proud of him! He is the youngest and the first Polynesian as a manager. Welcome to a new ERA! lol... All i can say is that we are so blessed, and to thank the man above! <3

Common Kings Concert

So last minute i decided that I was going to go to the concert, although i was totally dreading it because of the drive, Provo really?? lol, but Common Kings was definately worth the drive!! I'm so glad that i made it! I ended up going down with Lieta, Vee, Val and Donovan and we met the rest of their family down there too, and it was a blast!! I had so much fun and it was a sober night!! haha... Even if we were totally the BIGGEST Common Kings GROUPIES that whole night!! hahaha... too funny!!
Its funny cause the only time i've been down there is only to the schools and back, but going thru their cities, i felt like i was out of state! haha... But all the artists that performed that night were on point!! Tati is such a beautiful girl and she is going to be even more amazing in the years to come!! Her voice is awesome!! :) and Si'i Vakalahi, wow... love his voice!! :)
Well here a few pics i got from the concert!! definately wish i would have gotten more!!
